Your Porch Pro storefront

Your Porch Pro storefront

Your storefront at /pro/<your-slug> is the front door buyers see when they want to pick up multiple vendors in one trip. It runs while you're subscribed (or while a paid vendor tier covers you).

What's on it

Every variant stationed at your porch (across every active vendor) shows up automatically. We pull live stationed quantity, retail price, and which vendor it's from. Buyers can fill a cart that mixes vendors and pay once.

You don't curate inventory by hand. The vendors decide what to ship; the cap rules decide how much. Your job is to host clean, hand off cleanly, get rated well, and keep showing up Thursdays.

Trust tiers — what they unlock

Trust tiers run T1 → T4. The recompute cron runs daily at 3am UTC and walks your stats:

| Tier | Min completed pickups | Min buyer rating | Per-vendor cap | Max vendors | |---|---|---|---|---| | T1 | 0 | 0 | $200 | 5 | | T2 | 25 | 4.5 | $750 | 10 | | T3 | 75 | 4.7 | $2,000 | 25 | | T4 | 200 | 4.8 | $5,000 | 50 |

(Exact thresholds live in the porch_host_trust_tiers table and are platform-admin editable. The numbers above are the v1 ladder.)

Demotions happen on a recall strike in the past 90 days OR if your buyer rating drops below 4.0. One promotion email + one demotion email arrive per change.

Earnings — the $29/mo + $5/pickup model

Two ways your storefront stays live:

  1. Standalone subscription. $29/mo direct from you to the platform. Cancel any time; storefront goes dark on the next cycle.
  2. Bundled with a paid vendor tier. If you also operate a paid-tier store (Shop Founding / Standard / Anchor), Pro features are included. No extra charge.

On every pickup the buyer pays $8: $5 to you (paid through your Stripe Connect account on the same payout cadence as a vendor's sales), $3 to the platform.

A Pro stationed with three active vendors who each ship 30–60 pickups a month makes solid recurring income from porch handoffs alone. T3+ Pros routinely host 8–12 vendors at once.

How relationships work

Vendors find you via the search drawer (filtered by Stripe-Connect status + trust tier). They request, you approve, then they start shipping. You can also be the initiator — search vendors, request a relationship, wait for them to approve.

Each (vendor, you) pair has a per-vendor cap. Even at T4, no single vendor can station more than $5,000 retail at your porch — that's the firewall.

Wind-downs

When either side wants out: initiate a wind-down. Stationed inventory keeps selling for up to 60 days. The vendor picks the disposition (return / donate / destroy / abandon). When you initiated the wind-down, the "abandoned" option is disabled — you can't keep their inventory by walking away.

If the Pro side initiated and units have to ship back, return shipping is clawed from your pending pickup earnings. That's the system's incentive against drive-by Pros.

What gets you suspended

Three strikes in 12 months → suspension. Strikes hit when:

  • A pickup goes missing and the security camera footage doesn't clear it.
  • A buyer rating dispute concludes against you.
  • Inventory is mis-stationed (vendor's units showing up on the wrong porch).

Suspended Pros have all relationships recalled. Stripe payouts pause. You can appeal — reply to the suspension email and a human reads it.

Tips

  • Host your camera URL on the application. Vendors look at it when picking Pros.
  • Reply quickly to relationship requests. Every day a request sits hurts the vendor's launch plans.
  • Confirm receipt the day stationed inventory arrives. Vendors track this. It rolls into your trust score.
  • Be visible Thursday 5–8pm. The pickup window is the entire product.
  • Be honest in disputes. The platform sides with the party with the cleanest record.
